I Finally Have A Shop!

I know, I know. No big deal, right? I mean, every artist under the sun has a place where you can purchase their art. I fully admit that I’ve been procrastinating on building a shop for months. But my packing supplies are stocked up, and I have an adequate amount of art to sell (with more to come), so my SHOPippo is finally open!

For those interested, I am still waiting to receive my artist proofs of my Brave poster; as soon as I do I will announce it on Twitter. In future, I will also be putting a few full sets of my Muppet posters up for sale.

Be sure to check back for updates!

Next up: Bad Dads

I’m super excited to be a part of Spoke Art‘s Bad Dad’s show, which is debuting at NYCC and continuing in San Fran from October 26th – November 24th. I will be posting my artwork based off of my favorite Wes Anderson film, Fantastic Mr. Fox, later this week.

If you are attending NYCC, be sure to pop by Spoke Art’s Booth (#3220) to say hello; I’ll be signing prints on Sunday morning.

It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown

Just in time for fall, the posters I created with Dark Hall Mansion based off the timeless Halloween classic, ‘It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown‘ have finally been announced.

Standard

Variant

GP Variant

DHM explains my concepts better than I could, so here’s what they wrote:

Artist Michael De Pippo, drawing on his use of negative space and minimalist tones, has rendered two completely different and evocative prints for this year’s release. The Standard has Charlie in his full Halloween costumed glory reflecting on one of THE most quoted and classic lines of our shared childhood history, “I got a rock.”

And along that vibe, see Michael’s dynamic Variant print, rendered in a format that immediately recalls those beloved classic TV Guide ads that signaled to every kid that something THEY waned to see was just round the bend. From it’s old school wordmark logo to its stark interpretation of the moment, the moment that, well…

Sally Brown: You blockhead! You kept me up all night waiting for the Great Pumpkin, and all that came was a beagle! I didn’t get a chance to go out for tricks or treats. And it was all your fault! I’ll sue!…”

All editions are 18″ x 24,” strictly limited, numbered, and hand-pulled screenprints by the fine folks at DL Screenprinting with Editions as follows:

Standard: “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” (Edition of 280)
Variant: “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” (Edition 50) (Sally/Linus)
And a very select special run of just 10 of each style-Standard and Variant-printed on 18″ x 24″ wood:
“It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” (Standard artwork) on Maple wood (Edition of 10)
“It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” (Variant artwork) on Fir wood (Edition of 10)

Standard: $65
Variant: $100
Wood Editions: $225
